Lil Kim's Fans Mad as Hell, Shut Down Site

Wednesday, March 3, 2010

It seems that Lil Kim's fans are fed up and are not going to take it anymore. Wanna rumble with the Queen Bees fans? Apparently, Kim's personal assistant and handler, Bryant McKinnie, does. McKinnie, an NFL player and socialite in his own right, and Kim's "new team" as her fans at LilKimZone.net call them, have destroyed Kim's career and appearance, they say. The fans, many of whom, claim to have been down with Kim for 15 years, say that the defensive stance taken by Kim's handlers over questions about how she looks and alleged drug use, played out in an irate Twitter conversation, was the last straw. They're taking the site down.
Some people feel that the meteoric rise of rapper Nicki Minaj, who started off on some Kim stuff, may have played a role in fans' disappointment with the former Bad Boy emcee.
No word on how lil Kim herself feels about the drama, but we all know Kim has been going under the knife more than a Thanksgiving turkey, but that's beside the point, right? I mean, Michael Jackson did ungodly things to his face, but if you put "Thriller" on you'll see people dropping whatever they're doing and start moonwalking. It's about the music, people. Well, isn't it?

Faith Evans signs up for reality show

Tuesday, February 9, 2010

It's no biggie for Faith Evans, the mother of the Notorious one's kids. She just inked a deal for a new reality show on BET, called "It's All About Faith."
Evans, who is prepping a new album after a hiatus from music, said in a statement that the show will focus on her other exploits besides her pipes.
“To be in a place where I have grown from an entertainer to an entrepreneur is truly a blessing,” Faith said. “I am excited to share this incredible experience with my fans and the world."

Faith is just the latest in a number of Biggie-related projects to get their own reality show: Diddy has had a recurring deal with MTV (Making the Band, etc.), Lil Kim did her thing, and now Faith. Lil Cease, where you at?

Where's Janelle Monae?

Sunday, October 4, 2009

Where's the uber-talented, alternative rock-pop sci fi Muse? On the bench.
Her signing to Bad Boy Records has yielded little more than the 2008 release of her heavily-edited album Metropolis: The Chase Suite (Special Edition).
Bad Boy, founded by Sean "Diddy" Combs, has moved its heavyweight marketing and promotion to more lucrative acts, such as Day 26, which was virtually bankrolled by MTV, and Cassie Ventura's long-awaited LP "Electro Love".
But who did Janelle piss off at Bad Boy to be done this way?
She's only the most refreshing, avant garde artist of her time?
Bad Boy has had a slew of artists bolt to greener pastures, turning several of them into religious zealots in the process.
Will Janelle follow "Suite"?
