Tyra Loves Booty

Friday, March 26, 2010

Aaah, Tyra Banks must be a black man. Why? Because she seems to love a big booty just like one. Doesn't matter if it's hers, a man's or a womans.
Tyra is a grabber, too.
This revelation is not new to anyone who watches her top-rated show, but I don't watch it so I usually get my fill from "Talk Soup" or commercials.
But does Tyra want to promote big bootiness to all her fans? Do people want a donk or is a regular one quite okay?
Tyra promotes the donk. Despite the fact that 90% of her target audience shrieks in terror at the thought of owning a true glutus maximus.
And who better than Buffie "The Body," who has actually put in unknown manhours to achieve that back end, to appear to Tyra's show.
She says, and I quote: "The girls with the hips and the booty were the popular girls at school. ... I don't like being skinny." So she went to the booty doctor. "He gave me a list of foods that was high in calories .. i went from like 119 [lbs] to 170 now." Really? (Cue the wide-eyed excitement).
Does Buffie expect us to believe that she got all that from spinach?

Would Beyonce swaggerjack a fragrance?

Friday, September 18, 2009

Ambercrombie and Fitch is huffing and puffing over Beyonce's pending perfume line. A&F is worried that Beyonce may try to use her "Sasha Fierce" brand to sell perfume, which would infringe upon their Fierce line of cologne. A&F has filed a lawsuit against Bey, saying they've held the trademark for the word Fierce, since 2003.
In other news, Microsoft is trying to copyright, the words "air" and "sunshine."

Hair Wars: Cut it Out, Already

Sunday, August 16, 2009

Amber Rose is ground zero of the revolution that has taken hold of black women's hair this summer. If you've got a mane of curly locks or even a slick-back style that has never hurt anyone, you've found yourself on the frontlines this time.
You've been told for ages how bad a perm is for your hair, but now the debate has switched to plain ole long hair. PERIOD. Nothing is safe.
Do you shave it all off, and come on over to the Dark Side?
Or is not shaving it off considered the Dark Side?
Should you adopt an alter ego you know very little about?
What the follicle is going on?

Study: Alcohol Makes Women Less Attractive. To Men

Monday, April 20, 2009

That last part is key. "To men." Because we all know that when you get a little juice women may find you attractive. But according to the study, which was conducted by scientists that asked men and women in bars and cafes to look at photos, getting sloshed makes no difference to men. (The study doesn't address women drinkers though).
Half those drinkers in the study had to categorize their state as "relaxed and benign", "blunted and disinhibited", "boisterous and over-expressive", or "unambiguously drunk".
The study also said that makeup had little effect on the wasted men.
Well, in my opinion, drunk people make all kinds of mistakes, this included. I know plenty of women where drinking makes them more (gurgle) attractive!

The average size of a U.S. woman: 14

Saturday, March 14, 2009

The media's refusal to acknowledge the invisible woman is crazy. Who is the invisible woman? In America, she's a size 14 and 162 pounds, on average (The L.A. Times article says the average U.S. male is 189 pounds). The first inclination is to say, whoa, somebody's been eatin', but on deeper inspection you have to remember: The average American woman today is a multicolored, multiethnic hodgepodge of the world's greatest people, most notably, African-American, European-American, Asian-American, Mexican-American, and so on. All these different people have, historically and culturally, different eating patterns, metabolisms and what not. Of course, we can't underestimate the power of McDonalds as well.

The Return of 'Dressing Up'

Thursday, March 12, 2009

When was the last time you and a friend actually "dressed up," to go out? I've blogged about this before, but it's paramount that we start looking good, people. Church doesn't count. I mean, dressed up to go to a nice place. It could be a free place, but you looked nice. No baggy jeans. No hat pulled sideways across the face. Women: No bellie button peaking out from under your shirt. No thong crest in view. And are there places to go in the city where people can look nice?

The Itty Bitty ... Committee: Why It's Okay

So a bra to you feels like a catcher's mitt? Take heed, being an honorary member of the Itty Bitty Titty Committee is not anything to be worried about. Why? Because most guys believe it or not, or not concerned about your chest. Real talk. More importantly, because it's healthier, first of all. Having all that pulling on your back is ,a pain according to women with double Ds and up.
Evidently, breast reduction surgery is quite popular, allowing women to feel "greatly relieved that they were more able to engage in healthful activities such as running or playing sports."
More importantly, it's beneficial mentally to be happy with what God gave you. Don't let society or popular culture dictate your self esteem.

How's Your 'Toe Game'?

Wednesday, March 11, 2009

With the weather getting down right summery in the ATL, the women of culture are flocking to the nail salons to get done up. And few things say "sunshine" like 10 glowing, brightly-colored toes. Is it time for the "Toe Game" to begin?

Freckles: Beautiful or Unfortunate?

Thursday, February 19, 2009

Wikipedia says "Freckles are clusters of concentrated melanin which are most often visible on people with a fair complexion. A freckle is also called an "ephelis." The freckle phenomenon spans races and complexions though. Despite it's rareness in the African race, freckles are indeed genetic and are passed down and are triggered by exposure to sunlight (UV-B radiation specifically). Contrary to popular belief, freckles aren't a skin disorder or skin condition, they're simply a variation due to melanin amounts in the skin.
How do you feel about freckles?
