Now there are mugshots, and there are mugshots.
I don't know what the heck this is, but the DeKalb County police know all about it. It probably came about from watching too much "ANTM" and wanting to well, finally get some shine in front of the camera.
Shine on, Miss Thang, shine on.
Found this gem over at Muggn, where insanity like this is par for the course. Girlfriend just knew she was taking a glamor shot. This just may be fail mugshot of all time, along with this one of course.

From the depths of the self-esteem cesspool, Tyra Banks has done it again, this time managing to find the equivalent of a self-hating black girl trapped in the superiority complex-feeding ethos of a white girl, trapped in a black girl. In a lot of ways, it is simply fail.

Fall colors: Black is Back

It's apparent that even though winter has yet to show its face (at least down South) that people are iching to wear their black this year. And it's not the layers and layers of black that will shine this time, it's the long garbs, the gowns, the shawls, it's the scarfs.
It's toga time.
People will have enormous swaths of black around their neck and back. But before you go looking like Count Chocula, let's do fall first. Earth tones, warm browns and vibrant clay colors.

Are White Guys Getting It In?

It is obvious that love -- that odorless, colorless, many splendored thing -- has never had a color, never had a preference other than its own reciprocation.
While human prejudices and orientations dictated who coupled with who, societal standards have finally caught up with the heart's desires.
Black women, long complaining about the scarcity of eligible brothers on the scene, are being pleasantly surprised by the caucasian attention being brought there way.
There may be racism in the world, but when the lights are off, everybody's black.
White and black. Black and brown. Brown and yellow, etc. But if American cities are any indication, the biggest beneficiaries to the love being spreaded around these days is the white guy.
When it comes to the dating game, white guys are getting it in these days.
Ahem, I said white guys are getting it in these days (slow clap).

Fall '09 Preview: Black Will Be Back

As if it ever left, right? Well, black did temporarily lose favor over the last few years as earth tones had the rule of the day during the fall and winter months (who doesn't appreciate a zesty burnt orange every now and then?) But now, starting next week, be prepared to rock your black outfits again. Black is back.

Skin Tone: Does it Matter?

Each side has there own nursery-ryhme-like sayings: "Light, bright, damn-near white" and on the other side, "the blacker the berry the sweeter the juice."
Both are catchy, and both describe perfectly the benefits of subscribing to a particular skin-tone philosophy. Truth be told, much of this nation's racial past has etched in our minds a skin-tone hierarchy that may or may not be justified today (but still exists).
Do you have a skin-tone preference when it comes to dating?
Of course, it is your right to have one, but may i ask, what has influenced that preference?
