Farrah Franklin: Destiny Fullfilled?

Farrah Franklin used to be in Destiny's Child, for those of you who don't recognize the face. Franklin, a teen model, was used as an extra in Destiny Child's "Bills, Bills, Bills" video and was personally tapped by Mathew Knowles (along with Michelle Williams) to join the group. She lasted less than year, hearing about her firing from MTV, of all sources.
Since the departure, Franklin has been in search of stardom but it has proved to be elusive.
Earlier this year, she formed the Internet girl group Pheenx with two other girls only to find out that one of them was doing porn on the side. Franklin also took a turn on the reality TV show "Millionaire MatchMaker". That didn't go so right either.
Now Franklin is reportedly trying to record an album and shop it to music labels in 2010.

What's up with Michelle Williams?

Destiny be damned, singer Michelle Williams is prepping for another album that probably won't see the light of day until mid- to late 2010.
Since her days in the greatest-selling female pop group of all time, Michelle has recorded gospel music, returned to pop music, and even set her sights on Broadway.
Michelle has been successful in whatever genre she's done; her Gospel album in 2002 was the best-selling Gospel album that year.
In 2008, her single "We Break the Dawn," reached No. 1 on the dance charts.

Kelly Rowland to Do Miss Universe Pageant

In her first high-profile performance in the post-Matthew Knowles era, former Destiny's Child second fiddle Kelly Rowland is slated to perform at the Miss Universe pageant in August.
Kelly will perform her No. 1 hit "When Love Takes Over," with DJ Dave Guetta. Also on the bill is professional wrestler-lookin' Flo Rida. Kelly has been busy with her Bravo TV show "The Fashion Show," where she co-signs what other co-hosts say and rocks different colored nylon dresses with heels.
Hey, it's another notch away from the Beyonce brand and closer to Team Kelly. YEY!

Kelly Rowland Reaches No. 1 in UK

Former manager Matthew Knowles is probably wincing right about now, because her favorite Houston homegirl, Kelly Rowland has a hit record right now.
And it's across the pond.
Kelly's song with French DJ Dave Guetta is No. 1 with a bullet on charts overseas, with nary a spin in the States. Figures, Kelly turned her attention to Britain last year when she bought a property in London.
It's got to feel good for Kelly, who played second and third fiddle here under the tutelage of Knowles. You go, girl.

Has Kelly Rowland Been Dropped by Record Label?

We can never be sure with British tabloids, but it seems that ex-Destineer Kelly Rowland has reportedly been 86'd by her record label, Columbia. The move is the second major shakeup in Rowland's career this year. In January she fired her manager and mentor Matthew Knowles.

Guess selling 4 million copies of two albums is not enough these days.

Kelly Rowland Denies Home is in Foreclosure

Former Destiny's (step)Child Kelly Rowland says media reports that her Miami crib is in foreclosure proceedings are far from real.
Rowland, who bought a home in London last year, is said to be cutting loose the property because she's simply not there. Unlike many celebrities, Rowland has publicly cut back on her expenses during the economic downtown, including cutting Matthew Knowles loose as her manager.
Rowland has been trying to sell the house for a minute now, and has slashed half-a-million dollars off the $1.9 million house.
If she is having "foclo" difficulties, she won't be the only one.
