'Bug Chasers' still out to contract AIDs, HIV

With all the awareness about World AIDs Day and HIV prevention efforts, we think it's prudent to also spotlight a growing group that continue to go against the grain: Bug chasers.
Bug chasers are HIV negative gay men who try to contract HIV and AIDs by having sex with HIV positive men.
They often throw "conversion parties" and seek to hook up with carriers ("gift givers") that would help them to contract the disease.
Many people interviewed about why they would want such a dreadful disease cite the support and sympathy among the gay community for HIV-positive people.
All of this behavior flies in the face of those who put forth great effort to get the disease under control and stem its spread. And there is a big effort among gays against bugchasing, but the issue remains.
Many of them share the sentiment of "Carlos" who was quoted saying: "I know what the risks are, and I know that putting myself in this situation is like putting a gun to my head," in a 3Rolling Stone article in 200. Despite the risks, Carlos said, "But I think it turns the other guy on to know that I'm negative and that they're bringing me into the brotherhood. That gets me off, too."
It will get him off alright, off the planet.

Delusional. That's the only word that aptly describes. What's going on.
Webster's describes it as "something that is falsely believed or propagated; a persistent false pyschotic belief ..." You get my point.
If you're a downlow brother, sister, european, asian, native American, Aborigine, whatever. You're gay.
You are not straight.
Women being shocked by their men over this occurrence is reaching epidemic proportions.
Few things are worse than a person pretending to be something they are not.
Wives are being betrayed, games are being played. But as the sun comes out, there will soon be no shade.
To think, this whole phenomenon was underground until this New York Times article a few years back shot it to the Earth's surface.
Even then the repercussions were slow to ebb, but still we have yet to explore the other nationalities (whites, hispanics, native Americans?) that are living double lives as well.
When will they come clean?

Was Sigmund Freud a Freak?

Sigmund Freud was a freak. Known throughout the world as an avant garde Austrian psychiatrist, few people were allowed to be as kinky as Sigmund was in his professional life. Although he did much work in psychoanalysis, he is best known for his redefining sexual desire as the primary motive of humans. This was big at the time. For before Freud sex was seen as a taboo subject relegated to the dark bedrooms of the world, devoid of life, absent of discovery. Freud changed that. Was Freud simply a dirty old man who turned his profession out, and the world out, with his studies? Was Freud gay? The debate has raged for years. What is not debatable is that he had an insatiable appetite for sex and was possibly obsessed by it. There was one external stimulus though that may have attributed to Freud's success: cocaine.
Freud was an avid user and proponent of cocaine as a stimulant as well as analgesic. He wrote several articles on the antidepressant qualities of the drug and he was influenced by his friend and confidant Wilhelm Fliess, who recommended cocaine for the treatment of the "nasal reflex neurosis."
When the Nazis came, Freud and his Ukrainian colleague, Max Schur, fled to London. There they advanced their studies, on no more a subject that Freud himself, who at that time had developed oral cancer due to heavy smoking. Schur assisted him in suicide after reading Freud's note: "My dear Schur, you certainly remember our first talk. You promised me then not to forsake me when my time comes. Now it is nothing but torture and makes no sense any more." Schur administered three doses of morphine over many hours that resulted in Freud's death on September 23, 1939.

We all know The Plight, a hellacious cycle of abandonment, baby-daddyism and hypermasculinity that plagues black men in the United States. But do you see the new black man? The well-dressed, well-groomed prototype that has quietly saturated the streets? Although I hate the word metrosexual, the new black man is almost, like, half-gay. His sensibilities are softer, his voice is still deep but the edge is not as blunt, although he can be fussy. He's just as comfortable shopping as a woman is; it's ... hard to define really.
