Rihanna's 'dirty angel' pics for Rolling Stone

Monday, May 10, 2010

Rihanna continues to toy with the sex kitten imagery since the release of her album, and No. 1 "Rude Boy." This pics from her photo shoot for "Rolling Stone" definitely raise the ante and fall in line nicely with a proposition from mentor Jay-Z to be the face of a series of burlesque nightclubs he wants to kick off.

Transformers: More than meets the eye

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

And no, we're not saying that Aunt Viv is a transformer. But some have (not us though). No way.

We've all seen them: Men who dress like women. Not the Madeas of the world, either. We're talking about shapely, breasts-and-everything man. Trannies, or as they're known on the street: Decepticons.
The only thing about these transformers is that, while they are "more than meets the eye," it is getting increasingly hard to tell who's who and what's what these days.
A cursory glance in a nightclub can result in a totally Berserko night these days, and that's even without the assist that alcohol gives to the event. I mean, even Galvatron himself would have a hard time telling who's a woman and who's a wo-man, ya know?
Put simply, we just don't know what team anybody's on anymore. And that's scary. So, I think people should clearly and abruptly "declare" themselves before engaging in intimate conversations. It would spare alot of heartache, pain, and let's face it, money.

Riri: I cried when I heard Chris Brown song

Friday, December 4, 2009

Rihanna reportedly cried after hearing Chris Brown's "Changed Man", according to Rolling Stone.
The "Russian Roulette" singer was touched by the song, which has lyrics such as: I remember your touch, God, I miss you so much.
Please believe me, baby. I'm sorry.
And all this money and fame
Could never amount to every morning when I see your face.

Also, RiRi was recently strip-searched in an airport by security, according to the NY Post, which ran a photo of the actress that looked like she was shivering cold.
Are you telling me that airport security didn't recognize Rihanna? That they thought she could be a terrorist or smuggling something into the airport? Kinda strange if you ask me. I mean, we know she's a ''Good Girl Gone Bad, and all, and that she worships the devil, but come 'on, folks!
She's not riding with Al Qaeda. Yet.

Rihanna: I Miss Chris

Wednesday, November 18, 2009

Prepping for a new album and trying to focus on her music, Rihanna, in an interview published in The Sun, says she when she hears ex-boyfriend Chris Brown's music she won't turn it off, rather, just the opposite. "I don't snub or turn it off; I listen. I like his music."
When asked if she missed the "I Can Transform Ya" star, RiRi replied: "Sometimes. Actually, yes."
That's not to say she'll get back together with him, but, she says, "There are a lot of reminders, like a lot of hotel rooms, a lot of places we've been to together, music.
Truth is, if RiRi did get back with him, the backlash would be brutal and final: Not only would Tyra Banks, the record-buying public, and Jay-Z, her mentor, bail on her, but "The Big O" would act a fool.
And for her career, that would truly be Russian Roulette.

Celebrity Style: RiRi goes blonde

Tuesday, November 10, 2009

Rihanna switched it up this week, revealing blonde coifs in the same week that she has become a Youtube sensation for her interview on the Chris Brown situation. If this is any indication of a mood change, then her hair will be a different color in as soon as a few days. In any event, blonde ambition is a good thing, I guess.

Chris Brown's album cover for 'Graffiti'

Thursday, October 29, 2009

Chris Brown has released the album art for his forthcoming LP 'Graffiti'. The style is kinda "Star Wars" meets "Space Jam" if you ask me (What's with the
Hans Solo boots dough?)
I don't know, Chris. When people think of you they still see Rihanna's beat-up face -- at least this year -- and it just may be a bit too premature to come out so hard. But what do I know,
I'm not in the record-buying public.

Is Justin Timberlake On the Prowl?

Thursday, October 1, 2009

With news that the romance between actress Jessica Beil and "Cry Me a River" singer Justin Timberlake is on the skids, speculation has reached fever pitch on who Timbo has on his "hit list."
Could he be sharing Rihanna's umbrella, ella, ella ... Aye!
That's the word on the street, as Timberlake's exploits with different women in the past few weeks have fueled rumors of he and Biel's entry into Splitsville. (He reportedly was with RiRi at MTV's VMA's two weeks ago).
The latest news is that Timbo is still sailing with Biel but the ship is taking on water.
Whatever happens, Biel will have no problemo finding somebody should Timbo decide to dip.
He may love her, but sometimes it takes the ups -- and downs -- before you know that you and a person are really N'Sync, ya know?

Chris Brown in a Past Life?

Sunday, August 30, 2009

We finally discovered Chris Brown in a past life: It's the lead singer for the Sylvers, in a gay alternate universe, well, actually, the 1980s.

The Rihanna 2.0: Singer Tries to Shed Recent Past

Thursday, August 6, 2009

Like a rag doll or Malibu Barbie, pop singer Rihanna has simply shed her recent baggage and put on a new outfit and attitude to go with the times.
After Chris Brown's court hearing yesterday, where he was allowed more freedom to get closer to RiRi and his sentence delayed, it seems the whole incident is slowly coming to an end.
Rihanna has been seen out on the town, laughing, joking, partying, and not sulking. Those hoping that she would become a spokesperson for domestic violence or any time of abuse have been sadly mistaken.
Rihanna has a music career to revive, fans to thrill.
She's new and improved.
Move over, Malibu Barbie.
Here's Barbados Rihanna.

For Chris Brown, At Least One Female Has His Back

Tuesday, July 14, 2009

The most infamous boyfriend since Anna Mae Bullock brought home Wister, C. Breezy has been mighty active on the social front recently: Appearing at basketball playoff games, Jet-Skiing in Miami, and doing YouTubes with the goons. But nothing has been as evident as his new jawn, Teyana Taylor. The 18-year-old has been riding with celebrities deep since Pharrell put her on a few years back. (Also in the pic is Alycia Bellamy, from Russell Simmons' show "Daddy's Girls," and Omarion). But Taylor has obviously used this inopportune time to bond with Brown like no other female celebrity has.
True, Ciara lobbied hard to keep a duet with Brown on her new album, but she has avoided candid shots with him, considering how close the two reportedly are. Not so with Taylor, who seems to relish the spotlight, no matter how hot it shines, to one-up her career plans.
I guess a girl's gotta eat, eh?

Has Rihanna Changed?

Saturday, June 6, 2009

They say people change, things change: Rihanna is no different. This pic is about 8 years old and the changes are evident with RiRi.
She looks, well, wholesome here. Although I'm sure this image was crafted to get her to be accepted into the music world and by adoring fans, no matter what their age.
But now she's edgier, darker.
Was "Good Girl Gone Bad," prophetic?
Of course she's been through some things now, but what do you think?
Has RiRi changed?

Do Prince and Rihanna Look Alike?

Monday, May 25, 2009

More than a few people have said that in person Prince and RiRi have more than a striking resemblance to each other. Not to me, but to you, do they look alike, or at least like kissing cousins?

Rihanna: The Stage Play (You knew this was coming)

Monday, May 18, 2009

Can the soap opera-like saga we all know as Chrihanna (or Chrianna, depending on what part of the country you're in) translate to the stage? We'll see. But who will play the role of Jay-Z?

CiCi's "Fantasy Ride" Finally Arrives

Monday, April 20, 2009

A-town music star Ciara is pulling out all the stops on the eve of her long-awaited third album release. "Fantasy Ride," which debuts Tuesday, has been pushed back at least 6 months. In the meanwhile, the music landscape has been dominated by Rihanna's off-music exploits and the T-Pain voice thingy has staled a little (despite Jamie Foxx's anthemic "Blame It" single).
Can CiCi do it again? Her first album, which featured the smash "Goodies," sold 7 million copies. Her followup LP was lukewarm so this one is where a record company decides if you're worth it or not. (Record execs, after much conversation, decided to keep a duet with CiCi and Chris Brown on the album because, frankly, they thought it would at least be good for publicity. Will it work?)
CiCi is scheduled to perform on "Saturday Night Live," and do a few skits, so that should be fun.
Can she make a comeback?

Is Rihanna Getting Played?

Although Rihanna is a grown woman, with bills to pay like the rest of us, news that she's inked a deal to perform overseas has some wondering if she's rushing back too fast from her CeeBee ordeal.
She's set to perform in Dubai in May and has already presented the organisers with a 38-page demand list, but are her handlers pushing her back or is this something she wants to do?
Manager-types are notorious for rushing celebrities back in the limelight before they are ready (witness Britney Spears, Amy Winehouse as exhibits A and B). They want to protect their investments - at all costs.
Is RiRi ready?

Everybody Hates Chris

Thursday, April 9, 2009

Can 8.4 million black women be wrong?
Chris Brown has been turned into a virtual pinata, thanks to the disturbing TMZ-aquired picture of a swollen and bruised Rihanna facial shot after the two squabbled on Grammy eve.
The recent outrage is over why Chris Brown pled "not guilty" when he should have admitted the act, confessed and started his comeback. However, it's more than likely that Brown pled "not guilty" to buy more time to work out a plea bargain.
This is a performer who's income is easily in the 10s of millions. His lawyers would want to protect his right to make a living, including international travel, etc.
Many women - and men - if given the chance would love an opportunity to go one on one with the boy, after recent events.
But should everybody hate Chris?
The consensus, is, yeah, until he shows evident remorse.

Could Ciara Reach Out to Chris Brown Now?

Saturday, April 4, 2009

The two singers were rumored to be seeing each other a short time after he and Rihanna began dating, fueled by a steamy performance at BET's Rip the Runway. Now that Chris Brown is in Relationship-Hell has Ciara reached out?
"American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks is another one with ties to Brown.
While the world is warning Rihanna not to take him back at least two celebrities may be doing what they can to take Brown off of RiRi's hands.
Would you take him back?

Rihanna Gets a New Tattoo ... Of a Gun

Thursday, March 26, 2009

Everybody's reluctant spokeswoman has drafted herself a new tattoo under her arm. It's a pistol and it may be a warning of some sort. Then again, it just maybe something she's always wanted. Hard to say, it's hard to find Rihanna news these days. It's like, no one is blogging about RiRi. Hmmm.

Disrespect in a Relationship: Is There a Limit?

Wednesday, March 25, 2009

Say you and your significant other are arguing something terrible. Is it okay to just say anything or are there rules of engagement?
Say he goes below the belt by mentioning "Yo Mama." Do you probably say something about his "shortness" in the private area? Or do you fall back, knowing the situation will only escalate?
Or do you even care?
When two people are having it out is there a limit, a line that must not be crossed? And if so, how do you know when to back down?
