Tyra Loves Booty

Friday, March 26, 2010

Aaah, Tyra Banks must be a black man. Why? Because she seems to love a big booty just like one. Doesn't matter if it's hers, a man's or a womans.
Tyra is a grabber, too.
This revelation is not new to anyone who watches her top-rated show, but I don't watch it so I usually get my fill from "Talk Soup" or commercials.
But does Tyra want to promote big bootiness to all her fans? Do people want a donk or is a regular one quite okay?
Tyra promotes the donk. Despite the fact that 90% of her target audience shrieks in terror at the thought of owning a true glutus maximus.
And who better than Buffie "The Body," who has actually put in unknown manhours to achieve that back end, to appear to Tyra's show.
She says, and I quote: "The girls with the hips and the booty were the popular girls at school. ... I don't like being skinny." So she went to the booty doctor. "He gave me a list of foods that was high in calories .. i went from like 119 [lbs] to 170 now." Really? (Cue the wide-eyed excitement).
Does Buffie expect us to believe that she got all that from spinach?

Book illustrates 'Lil Oprah'

Tuesday, March 16, 2010

Humble beginnings from the richest woman in entertainment led a New York artist to draw a whole book about her.
London Ladd's latest tome is called "Oprah the Littler Speaker" and describes the multimillionaire media queen's early life in the backwoods of the Crooked Letter.
While he didn't have pictures of Oprah as a child, Ladd said he used his 5-year-old godchild as a model.
While Oprah has some competition as America's top TV maven, Ladd already threw somebody more famous.
Ladd, who's also drawn Martin Luther King Jr., said Oprah was this generation's miracle worker.
"She's like Midas," he told the Syracuse.com. But I can relate to her story. It's about simple, humble beginnings."
No, Mr. Ladd, you're like Midas.

Rihanna: I Miss Chris

Wednesday, November 18, 2009

Prepping for a new album and trying to focus on her music, Rihanna, in an interview published in The Sun, says she when she hears ex-boyfriend Chris Brown's music she won't turn it off, rather, just the opposite. "I don't snub or turn it off; I listen. I like his music."
When asked if she missed the "I Can Transform Ya" star, RiRi replied: "Sometimes. Actually, yes."
That's not to say she'll get back together with him, but, she says, "There are a lot of reminders, like a lot of hotel rooms, a lot of places we've been to together, music.
Truth is, if RiRi did get back with him, the backlash would be brutal and final: Not only would Tyra Banks, the record-buying public, and Jay-Z, her mentor, bail on her, but "The Big O" would act a fool.
And for her career, that would truly be Russian Roulette.

Celebrities come out for 'Precious' premiere

Thursday, October 29, 2009

The movie that everyone's talking about, "Precious," based on the novel "Push" by Sapphire premiered to raucous praise and support recently by some of Hollywood's A-listers.
The film's director, , has a hilarious quote about how he inroduced himself at Cannes, by saying, "I’m a little homo, I’m a little Euro and I’m a little ghetto.”

To say that the film is a little ghetto though would be an accurate portrayal. Gabourey Sidibe, the film's protagonist, shines as a mountain of teenage insecurity and low self-esteem (the total opposite of the real Gabourey). Even Lenny Kravitz has a role in the Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry-produced film.

The film stars stars comedian and talk show host Monique (shown here with her husband) as an abusive single mother who is raising a baby having babies. Monique's appearance at the premiered deaded rumors that she had reportedly refused to promote the film without a steep payback.

People are saying that Mariah steals the show as a totally unrecognizable counselor. Mimi is quoted as saying that the hardest part of the role was going "without makeup"
for so long. (What?)

TV's top prime female: Tyra is No. 1

Wednesday, October 28, 2009

First of all, we can't count Oprah Winfrey, because her show is not considered "primetime." If it did, then this wouldn't even be close.
But Tyra Banks is the No. 1 earner among women on primetime TV, according to Forbes.
While there are other aspiring media moguls out there, none of them have pulled it together across such a broad spectrum as T. Banks.
Tyra, who has become a poster child for fake hair and real shapes among women, pulls in $30 million for her talk show, endorsements, and of course ANTM. She was followed by Katherine Heigl, who pulled in $18 million. Check out the top woman earners list and see if you're on there (wink).

Did Whitney Tell the Truth?

Friday, September 18, 2009

Whitney Houston earlier this week completed the sinterview of all interview with media maven Oprah Winfrey. Houston opened up like no other subject on her problems with her 14-year marriage to Bobby Brown, including her addiction to marijuana laced with rock cocaine and being battered and bruised.
Bobby Brown, as we know, has been known as a bad boy ever since his New Edition days. According to Whitney, the couple had some fun times but Bobby brought her down to her lowest level.
The interview, broadcast over two days, was at its most surreal when Oprah pulled a how-to manual on weed-smoking out of her: "“You put it in your marijuana, Oprah, you lace it, you roll it up, and you smoke it in your weed," Whitney said, with hand gestures acting it all out. "It’s like heroin and cocaine speedballing, but you level it off, with marijuana.”
Not trying to take up for Bobby, but did it all happen like Whitney said?
After the interview, ,Bobby hit back telling The Insider: "I think we corrupted each other."
In any event, it's Whitney, not Bobby, that has an album coming out. It's Whitney with everything to lose, and Bobby with nothing to gain.
However it went down, it's their perogative, ya know?

The Big O: The Plus-sized Oprah Returns

Sunday, November 9, 2008

After years of fighting it, unparalleled diets and workout regimens and schedules, the Big O is literal again: Oprah Winfrey is gaining weight at an unprecedented rate again. She's shown up at several events this year looking as big and plump as ever. To be fair, she's still not up to her all-time weight when that she was when she debuted her show in September 1986. Truth be told it may be a disorder that she's suffering from: In October of last year, Winfrey revealed on her show that she was diagnosed with a thyroid disorder that made her gain 20 pounds. "At the end of May, I was so exhausted I couldn't figure out what was going on in my life. I ended up going to Africa and spent a month with my beautiful daughters there, was still feeling really tired, really tired, going around from doctor to doctor trying to figure out what was wrong and finally figured out that I had literally sort of blew out my thyroid." As a result she went vegan for a while, but it is unclear if she has stuck to her eating plan. In any event, the big O is back.
